Catalina Island is one of California’s Channel Islands, and lies southwest of Los Angeles. It is about an hour from Long Beach via the Catalina Express ferry and it’s the perfect little getaway from the city. My husband and I spent a night in the beautiful island and it was the most fun we had together since our 6-month stay in California. The island has two sides – Avalon and Two Harbors. Avalon is the more touristy side of the…
San Francisco For A Day
My husband and I have been wanting to go to San Francisco and since we lived in Southern California for 6 months, we finally had the chance to visit back in March of this year. We did a road trip from Orange County to the north taking the Pacific Coast Highway. The view in PCH route is so breath-taking. But it’s also a little scary to drive since it’s going uphill and the road has a lot of crazy turns….
Salvation Mountain

About a 2 hours drive northwest of LA, Ojai is set in a valley in the Topatopa Mountains. It’s far…
Sweet Escape to Solvang

What’s not to love? Dex and I decided to spend a beautiful sunny day walking around the village. It’s the perfect escape for even a day trip. Keep scrolling for all the sights! We had brunch at Succulent Cafe, in downtown area of Solvang. It was the cutest place…
